Please join us for the Akathist to the Theotokos, served with our most honored guest, Metropolitan Myron of New Zealand. A presentation of his mission work in the South Pacific and refreshments will follow the service.

The Akathist Hymn is a profound devotional poem to the Mother of God, divided into four parts and sung on the first four Fridays of Lent. The entire Akathist is then sung on the fifth Friday. This beautiful service helps us appreciate the role of the Theotokos in God's plan for our salvation and seek her intercessionary prayers during our Lenten journey. Due to clergy travel schedule, the second, fourth, and fifth Akathist services will be served at Holy Apostles. Please visit one of our sister parishes to worship the first and third Akathist.
