Chad Duskin

Member at Large

Chad Duskin has been a faithful member of Holy Apostles for fourteen years, drawn to Orthodoxy by his desire to find the first-century Church. Together, he and his wife Tammie have four adult children, Katelyn, Kyler, Nadine, and Karissa. His patron saint, St. Chad, reflects his commitment to humble service and faithful leadership within the Orthodox community.

As a high school Spanish teacher, Chad brings his love of education and his gift for connecting with people to his role on the parish council. He recognizes each of his students as an image-bearer of God, allowing his Orthodox faith to inform his professional calling.

Chad's gift as a teacher shines through in his work leading both youth and adult Orthodox education classes at Holy Apostles. In these, his deep knowledge of the faith and ability to make complex theological concepts accessible has enriched the spiritual formation of countless parishioners. Chad has also served in parish trips to Project Mexico, an Orthodox ministry that builds homes for impoverished families in Baja, Mexico.

Chad's motivation for serving on the parish council stems from his gratitude for those who reached out to him when he first came to Holy Apostles, and his desire to give back to the community that welcomed him. He is particularly excited about the upcoming parish remodel and the growth it will bring to Holy Apostles. Outside of church and work, Chad enjoys traveling and is known for his enthusiasm for J.R.R. Tolkien. Conversations about Lord of the Rings can easily stretch for hours! His combination of educational expertise, hands-on service experience, deep appreciation for Orthodox tradition, and commitment to nurturing community makes him a valuable voice in parish leadership.
