CLERGY & LEADERSHIP

Father Haralambos ("Rob") Spaliatsos was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. A child of both Greek and Panamanian immigrant heritage, he was baptized into the Roman Catholic faith. He attended the University of Florida, earning a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Education. He continued his studies at the University of Illinois, where he met Sophia Theophilopoulos.

As their relationship deepened, so did his love of Holy Orthodoxy, and he was received into the Orthodox Church by Chrismation in 2002, marrying Sophia soon after in her hometown of Omaha, Nebraska. The call to serve came a few years later. In 2008 the family moved to Boston, where Fr. Rob completed his Master of Divinity at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology.

Fr. Rob was ordained to the Holy Diaconate in January 2011 and to the Holy Priesthood that September. He served as assistant priest at Holy Trinity in Dallas, Texas, then, in 2013, became presiding priest at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, a small mission parish in Missoula, Montana. Fr. Rob and the Spaliatsos family remained at Annunciation for nearly a decade.

From 2023 to 2025, he served the wider Church as Missionary Director for the Orthodox Christian Mission Center (OCMC). Fr. Rob also holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Montana and is pursuing clinical licensure. He and Presbytera Sophia, a registered nurse, are blessed with five wonderful children: Eleni, Julia, Agape, Amalia, and Andreas.

Fr. Rob became the presiding priest of Holy Apostles on September 1, 2026. His years of parish and missionary ministry have helped form a priest with a deep pastoral instinct for walking alongside people through grief, transition, and the many seasons of life. Holy Apostles gives thanks that Fr. Rob's love of Christ and of pastoral care has drawn him back to parish service as our new spiritual father.
