"God loves us beyond comprehension and we cannot diminish God's love for us." - St. Peter
This quote is attributed to St. Peter. Many sources listed it but also noted that it is not from the Bible. Perhaps Peter spoke these words. Nonetheless, this is simple and strong language about God's love for us that summarizes a lot of what is in the Bible. No matter how far we have fallen or how distant our minds may be from Him, He is still loving us, ready to embrace us.
Sometimes it can be difficult to stay in touch with God. Work, home, and busy schedules seem to interfere. Sometimes we feel distant due to our own mindset, and this interferes with our relationship with God. However, God is always loving us! The amazing thing is that we only need to stop, take a deep breath, repent, or change our mind, and call out to Him. And like the Prodigal Son, our Heavenly Father will greet us with joy.
God's love is a major theme in the Bible. St. Paul often mentions it in his many letters.
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. —Romans 8:37-39
Nothing can separate us from the love of God!! We conquer sin and other troubles not by our own strength but with God who is with us every moment in the form of the Holy Spirit. It is with Him that we can pick ourselves up—whether it takes a short time, or a long time. He never leaves you.
Take to heart the following blessing of St. Paul in Ephesians 3:16-19. Let the words soak into your soul as you see the fullness of Christ's immeasurable love for you and everyone in the world. This great love has the ability to fill your whole being in width, length, depth, and height, surpassing all knowledge:
...that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height — to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. —Ephesians 3:16-19
May the prayers of the Saints strengthen and encourage you in your relationship with Jesus.
In His Love,
Paisia
