Jesus Loves the Little Children

We are in Europe. Having a daughter who has lived in Scotland for 14 years and another daughter who has lived across The Pond for 7 years, currently living in Switzerland, has enabled us to visit a variety of cultures! It's interesting to see the different ways in which people live—yet, they also "live" like us and everybody else in the world. People are basically the same the whole world over!

Visiting other places, learning about their histories, seeing and learning the customs and manners in which they pass through their daily lives, opens one's eyes to differences and similarities. When it comes down to it, we are mostly similar. We are all born children that come with our unique physical, emotional, and family history. It makes us who we are even if we alter the path that our family of origin began in us. All people are born, grow, and live in a community. Our circumstances are what make us different. Growth, learning, and aging occur to each person.

We are children of God. Even if one has not heard about God, or was raised in a Christian home and now chooses not to follow Him, everyone is still a child of God and loved by Him beyond measure. Some may not agree about the presence of God, as that is one difference among people. But, as a believer in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, I believe that all people are children of God.

Jesus loves all the children of the world! You, your neighbor, and the stranger are all loved by God! May we remember this as we go through our daily lives. Let God's love open our eyes to the similarities we share with all people of the world. Try not to let anything hinder the sharing of the love of God we are so blessed to know.
