Scenes from the Parish Outdoor Clean-Up Work Party
Updated: Sep 5
Saturday, May 30, 2026 — Thank you to Earl and Rose for spearheading another Parish Outdoor Clean-Up Work Party! We had great turnout after the Saturday of Souls Liturgy. About a dozen dedicated parishioners tackled the wooded edge of the property west of the parish building. This piece of the Holy Apostles grounds is such a wonderful and peaceful place, and thanks to the hard work of the Clean-Up Crew, it's more accessible than ever!
Many seasons' worth of blackberry, brush, and fallen limbs had been quietly limiting access to this space, but with the power of chainsaws, a compact loader, coffee, and faith, the work crew moved mountains (or at least mountains of bramble!).
In the middle of this remodel, we've lost access to many of our outdoor spaces. But that little piece between the parish building and the lake now looks like someone loves it, which is the point. "Sanctify those who love the beauty of Thy house," Fr. Tom prays at the end of every Liturgy. Thank you to all who came on Saturday to be that group in work boots!
